An open-source alternative to Lovable, Bolt.new and v0
Lovable, Bolt.new, v0, Replit and similar vibe coding services bundle two things: an AI chat that writes your app, and the platform the app runs on. drobek is only the second half, and it is open source. The agent you already use, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or Claude, does the building; drobek compiles what it writes, gives every change a preview link and puts the version you choose live, on my hosted instance or on your own server.
How drobek differs
Your own agent
drobek runs no AI of its own, so there are no message credits. You build with the agent and the model you already pay for, and you can switch between Claude Code, Cursor and Codex on the same app. They connect over MCP; the drobek plugin teaches them the loop.
Open source and self-hosted
The core is AGPL-3.0. drobek.app runs the same public image you can run yourself with Postgres, Redis and Caddy, so your apps, their users and their data can stay on your own server. The self-hosting guide covers the setup.
Every write is a version
Each change your agent writes compiles on the server and is kept as a version with its own preview link. You publish the version you choose and can restore an earlier one.
A backend without your own server
Sign-in for your app's users, stored data, forms, e-mail, uploads and calls to external APIs come from platform modules. Secrets are set in the dashboard and never pass through the agent.
Bring what you already built
A Claude artifact, or a folder of HTML, JavaScript and CSS, moves over unchanged: your agent writes the files, uploads images and video at the same paths and hands you a preview.
When another service fits better
If you do not use an AI agent yet and want to build everything in a chat in the browser, a builder like Lovable, Bolt.new or v0 is the shorter path. drobek apps run in the browser and get their backend from platform modules; drobek does not run server code you write yourself. If you already work with an agent, or you want the code and the hosting under your control, drobek fits.
Start
Sign in to drobek.app with your e-mail and connect your agent, or run your own instance from the same open-source core.
